SafeCom Go passes rigorous RICOH Compatibility Testing

SafeCom Go for RICOH has now been officially declared compatible with a wide range of RICOH MFPs after passing RICOH’s own compatibility testing. The embedded SafeCom Print solution enables Pull Print functionality on a wide range of RICOH ESA-platform enabled multi-functional printers, and allows users to enter their identification code directly on the RICOH device touch screen.

Copenhagen, Ballerup,  Denmark, June  5 , 2011  - RICOH, a leading provider of digital office equipment, and SafeCom A/S, a leading provider of secure print and document accounting solutions, have reached an important milestone in their joint goal of enabling customers with RICOH  MFP parks to reduce print costs, centralize administration and improve document security through integrated pull-print functionality.

SafeCom Go - Certified as compatible solution on RICOH MFP’s

SafeCom Go for RICOH has now passed the rigorous RICOH Developer Program™ (RiDP™) compatibility testing. The SafeCom Go embedded solution proved documented compatibility with the wide range of RICOH multifunction printers that are supported by RICOH’s SDK platforms SDK/J2.15, SDK/J 4.17 and SDK/J7.09. The certification is valid for EMEA and America regions, and will additionally be honored by APAC within a few months, closing the circle for worldwide recognition. Future RICOH printers with Java embedded functionalities will also be able to support the SafeCom solution.

SafeCom Go – Smart Printing solutions for RICOH

SafeCom Go for RICOH allows users to send their print and then login at the RICOH MFP to retrieve it, ensuring document confidentiality and reducing waste.  SafeCom Go for RICOH with Pull Print functionality turns networked RICOH MFPs into personal printers, enabling companies to consolidate and rationalize their printer fleet and greatly reduce support and maintenance expenses.

The program handling SafeCom’s printer-side pull-print functionalities is uploaded and embedded into RICOH MFPs, allowing users to enter their identification code directly on the RICOH device touch screen.  Apart from pull-print, SafeCom’s RICOH solution also includes many server-side functionalities, such as central administration, print policy enforcement and more. 

Enhanced business opportunities for RICOH partners and resellers

By passing the RICOH RiDP™ compatibility testing,  SafeCom has significantly strengthened its partnership with RICOH while empowering RICOH resellers and partners with a very attractive and proven solution for bundling with RICOH MFP installations. Armed with cost-saving and officially compatible solutions like SafeCom’s, RICOH partners and resellers can boost their pre-sales efforts in connection with tenders or during ongoing solution implementations. The SafeCom Go solution will be listed in the RICOH development on-line catalogue. Additionally, future releases of SafeCom Go a will be pre-tested by RICOH and followed by their signed approval, ensuring consistent RICOH system compatibility and product stability while also maintaining  a continuous close relationship between SafeCom and RICOH for the benefit of their mutual customers.
